Are you ready for some football, Redskins style? Good news: for the fifth year, the Redskins will be practicing at their $10 million Richmond-based Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center from July 27 through August 13. With 23 on-field practice sessions free and open to the public, 2017 could be the best Redskins Training Camp yet! Mark your calendars: Fan Appreciation Day, a highlight of the camp, is Saturday, August 5.
The Washington Redskins Training Center is located behind the Science Museum of Virginia at 2401 West Leigh Street, Richmond, Va. 23220. The City of Richmond has designated parking locations within two blocks of the Training Center for $10 cash; you can find details here.
The best part about training camp? It’s free! All of your favorite Redskins players want their fans to come out and watch them practice, but you must sign up for a Free Fan Mobile Pass to be admitted. Every fan must register for a free pass and present it to enter the camp during any of the training dates below. Your pass is valid for multiple sessions; you just have to sign up once, but you can come to training camp as often as you like.
Between practice sessions, you can meet Redskins alumni and cheerleaders, plus enjoy family-friendly special events, interactive tents, giveaways and other exciting fan experiences. There’s even a Redskins Team Store tent where you can purchase Redskins-themed merchandise.
After practice, when schedules permit, Redskins players and coaches may be available to sign autographs, pose for photos and maybe even give you the inside scoop on the upcoming season!
We want to hear about your best Training Camp experience: If you snap a great picture with your favorite Redskin player, coach or cheerleader—or if your kid looks adorable in his Redskins jersey―post it on our Facebook page for everyone to see!
Be sure to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on; there’s no bleacher seating at training camp. You can bring food and beverages or purchase them at the Training Center. But please, leave alcoholic beverages and pets at home: neither are allowed.
Redskins fans of all ages are encouraged to attend and start the 2017 season off right!
