Prompted by client demand, Commonwealth Law Group will now offer family law services through its latest division, Commonwealth Family Law. This new practice area, which the firm has been actively pursuing since February 2019, will complement its existing personal injury, workers’ compensation, and civil rights practice areas.
At its onset, Commonwealth Family Law will provide client-focused services in matters of divorce, child custody and visitation, spousal support, and domestic violence, and in the negotiating of prenuptial and separation agreements. The firm plans to devote substantial IT and human resources to the new division in the coming months.
“Given the level of interest expressed by our personal injury and workers’ compensation clients, CLG has seen family law as a logical addition to our suite of services for several years now,” said Mark Dix, partner and family practice lead at Commonwealth Law Group. “We decided to accelerate those plans especially following our move to 3311 West Broad Street. Our new, central location on Broad Street in Scott’s Addition, gives us room to grow and gives our clients ready access to a team they know will fight for them.”
Mark Dix has been practicing for almost 20 years – as a partner at several area law firms, including Bucci & Dix PLLC, a personal injury and family law boutique, where he was a founder and managing partner.
