Your 2018 Guide to Richmond-area Farmers’ Markets

Every spring and summer, the Richmond area blossoms with farmers' markets featuring local (and often organic) produce, crafts, and wares from our very own Central Virginia farmers and artisans. Choosing to shop locally not only supports your fellow Richmonders but also gives you access to the freshest produce, picked at peak ripeness, sometimes for less than it costs at the grocery store.

As you plan your summer fun, remember that not every pop-up stand has a website or Facebook page. If you see a pop-up or mobile market on the roadside, stop and check it out! And if, despite your best intentions, you won't make it out to one of the many farmers' markets around Richmond, you can always join a CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture) for access to local produce, or skip both the market and the meal preparation altogether by signing up for a local meal prep service that sources local, organic ingredients.
