Brandon Shackelford is a paralegal at Commonwealth Law Group. In this position, he communicates directly with clients and is responsible for a wide variety of detail-oriented tasks that are critical in moving our clients’ cases forward.
Brandon obtained his paralegal certificate from Reynolds Community College in 2014 and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree with a concentration in legal studies from the University of Richmond, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2017. A scholarship student at UR, Brandon was inducted into the Golden Key International Honor Society, an organization promoting a high standard of scholarly achievement along with a focus on integrity, respect, innovation, diversity and collaboration.
Prior to joining CLG in October 2017, Brandon put himself through school by working as a paralegal for both a local title company and in the personal injury department of another local injury law firm. His experience provides him with a well-rounded perspective with which to provide our clients with the best possible customer service.
Brandon has always been intrigued by the law as it applies to different cases and situations. He gains great satisfaction in helping clients with their cases from beginning to end, providing clarity and empathy during what can be a difficult time in our clients’ lives. As a “people person” with a strong attention to detail, Brandon is ideally positioned to help handle clients’ cases from beginning to end. When a task that is critical to your case is in Brandon’s capable hands, it will be handled with care.
Originally from Hanover, VA, Brandon is an avid fisherman who loves sports. When he’s not tending meticulously to our clients’ cases, he enjoys spending time with his energetic nine-month-old son and two dogs.
